Aiken
County PRT wants your best Aiken County
photograph!
Photographs will be
judged and the winning entries will be used
in a 2013 Aiken County Calendar to be sold
at the Aiken County Visitors Center.
An art show and unveiling will be held in
October to showcase the winners. 1. Photographers must be amateurs
and/or hobbyist. 2. Photos need to be taken in
Aiken County within the past two years
(2010-2012). 3. They can be
of any season, landmark, landscape, etc... 4. Entry fee is $5.00 per photograph. 5. Photographer must agree to have the
image used and sold. 6. Submit
photographs electronically to
elangston@aikencountysc.gov or you can
submit a negative.

Outpost Camps 2012, your passport to an exciting
South Carolina summer!
Join us as we explore
all things fun that the Palmetto State has to
offer! Camps will be 2-week sessions.
7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Each Friday there will be a day trip.

Wednesday, May 16 - Aiken State Park Visit Aiken State Park with us!! Enjoy breakfast, fishing, lunch, and more
activities with us at Aiken State Park. We will leave Aiken at 6 a.m. and
Wagener at 6:30 a.m. $7/person
Saturday,
June 9 - Abbeville, SC Join us as we
go to Abbeville's Opera House to see Church
Basement Ladies follwed by dinner (at your
own cost). We will leave Wagner at 12:15
p.m. and Aiken at 1:00 p.m. $35/person
July (date to be announced)- Greer, SC: BMW
Plant Witness a car being made during our BMW plant tour.
Tuesday, August 7 - Anderson, SC Tour the Happy Cow
Creamery and shop downtown Anderson. Lunch will be in downtown Pendleton
at Farmer's Hall. Then visit Split Creek Farm, a Grade A goat dairy.
End the day with dinner at Grits and Groceries. $35/person
Friday, September 14 - Wadmalaw, SC
Begin with lunch at Tomato She Cafe and shopping at Stono Market. Then
visit the Angel Oak that has been shading John's Island for over 1400 years.
Enjoy a trolley ride through the tea plants at Charleston Tea Plantattion.
Sample wines and cheese at Irvin House Vineyards. End the day shopping at
Tanger Outlet.

SC Shaw Air Force Base
Join us as we take a rolling tour of Shaw Air
Force base, see a F-16 fighter, and various weapons systems. We will have
lunch at Subway (not included in price) on base.
Please note:
Anyone participating must submit to a background check before entering base.
Base regulations require anyone entering base to submit to a background check
therefore, you must be registerd for this trip by October 26. When
registering, we need your full name and Social Security number. If you

Day 1: Take a 3-mile drive
through James Island County Park to see millions of light displays. Day 2:
Shop at Tanger Outlet before returning home.

projects, games, healthy
lifestyle initiatives programs and more...
