The Central Procurement Division is a centralized purchasing office that is responsible for the procurement of commodities and services for the various County departments and select agencies.

This website was developed to assist you in the bidding process and to provide you a better way of doing business with Aiken County Government.
Vendors new to Aiken County must complete a Vendor Application, available here. Please complete the application as it applies to you, including the General Company Information and Address Information sections, and then mark the appropriate Commodity Codes. Please fax or mail the completed application to Central Procurement.

Invoices are to be sent to Central Procurement.
In order for Aiken County to process the invoices for payment, you must list the Purchase Order number on the invoice. Please make sure that all Aiken County accounts are listed under Aiken County Government and not the individual departments.

Current open solicitations, and information on recently awarded items, are available by clicking here.

Aiken County has contracted with DemandStar for maintenance of an automated bid notification system categorized by specific commodities and services. DemandStar Logo
Vendors who have subscribed to the service are notified by fax or e-mail whenever an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposals has been offered for the commodity or service offered by the vendor. Bid documents and updates can be downloaded from the DemandStar website. Vendors can subscribe with DemandStar at their site or by calling 800/711-1712.

The DemandStar system provides a number of advantages to participating vendors:

  • Electronic notification of bid opportunities the same day they are approved.
  • Learn about bids for Aiken County and other agencies directly related to your business without monitoring numerous sources.
  • Receive notices, download bid documents and receive bid updates all from one central source.

Aiken County is pleased to offer you this program. However, vendors are not required to subscribe to the DemandStar system to obtain bid documents or to do business with Aiken County. Vendors can continue to check this County website or contact the Central Procurement Division regarding bid opportunities.
