The Atlantic hurricane season began June 1 and runs through November 30. South Carolina Emergency Management Division has made a hurricane guide available online. The guide includes suggested safety items to keep on hand, evacuation routes and shelter locations. The guide also includes important information that people can use before, during, and after hurricane threats.
