April: GOLF
The Masters is about Aiken as well as Augusta. The tradition of the best golfers coming to Aiken to prepare for the Masters meant that Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Bobby Jones, Sam Snead all came to our Palmetto Golf Club. The Aiken Golf Club was the site of play for some of the best lady golfers such as Patty Berg and the Babe (Didrikson). The courses of Aiken County today are spectacular: Woodside, Houndslake, Sage Valley, the River Club, Cedar Creek and so many more! A golfer’s paradise!

May and June: The Gardens of Aiken County
Don’t miss this beautiful show. Gardens of the past and present will be spectacular! These will get a response of “oooh” and “aaah.” The Aiken Garden Show is May 8th & 9th featuring lectures, garden tours, exhibition gardens and garden vendors, so mark your calendars for this one.

September: POLO
The Ladies of Polo in Aiken. Women have played an important role in Aiken history and polo is NO exception. They kept the string alive when the men were off to war. 127 years of continuous polo. Some of the best women polo players have called Aiken “home.” The Home of Champions.

October: The Musicians of Aiken County
There have been so many special musicians that have made Aiken a special place. Here’s just a few that will be in this exhibit: Josef Hofmann, Antoine Cordia, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Niles Borop, Maureen Simpson, Robert Gerstenberg, Bill Clark, Gary Lamb, Archie Jordan, Stewart Harris, Jesse Colin Young, James Brown, Mike Stewart. and more.

November: The Quilt Show
The Great American Art Form – the QUILT. The beauty, the imagination, the time, the patience and the skills are all exhibited in these creations. This is a favorite show for so many people. Come, and enjoy the quilts!

December: The Holiday Season
The Museum puts on a lovely seasonal atmosphere for all to enjoy the warmth and glow of this season of goodwill.
