On Saturday, January 10, 2009, twenty-one former county employees were honored at the Annual Retirement Reception held at Newberry Hall in Aiken. This group of people totaled 333 years of service and experience to Aiken County Government and will certainly be missed. |

County Council Members and Department Heads, spouses or significant others were in attendance, also.
Each retiree received a retirement gift along with a special retirement certificate presented by Ronnie Young, Chairman of the Aiken County Council. The dinner was superb. The atmosphere was wonderful. The music was soothing and a wonderful time was had by all! This is County Council’s way of saying ”Thank you for your service”.
The Annual Retirement Dinner is held each year during the month of January. |
