In 2006, Aiken County Council approved Ordinance No. 06-10-31 which authorizes the establishment of a Business Registration System for businesses located within Aiken County, including those businesses located within the corporate boundaries of municipalities within the County.

There is no fee to register a business in Aiken County; however, all businesses should register each year to receive their Business Registration Certificate.

City License Requirements

If your business address or business activity is within the city limits of any city within Aiken County, a city business license may also be required.
