Donations Being Accepted for the Aiken County Employee Yard Sale

The Aiken County United Way Committee will be accepting donations for the Aiken County Employee Yard Sale, which will be held on Thursday, October 25 from 10 am until 3 pm during the Aiken County Fall Festival. All proceeds will be donated to the Aiken County United Way.
Donations will be accepted August 21 through October 22nd. Smaller items can be dropped with your department's United Way contact or at the Public Works Department, room 232, during normal business hours. To make arrangements to drop off larger items or if you have any questions, please contact Susan Overcash at 642-1533 or email at sovercash@aikencountysc.gov. All items should be wiped clean prior to donation.

Any items remaining after the sale will be donated to the Salvation Army.

Donations can include:

  • House Hold Items (bowls, potholders, plates, candles, pictures, etc.)
  • Office items
  • Books, tapes, CD's, video games
  • Jewelry, Purses, and wallets
  • Craft items including silk plants, Christmas decorations, etc.
  • Outdoor items: Small hand tools, garden supplies
  • Baby/Children items: Car seats, strollers, walkers, toys
  • Small electrical appliances including radios, calculators, irons, can openers

Donations which cannot be accepted:

  • Clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, or shoes
  • Large appliances (refrigerators, stoves, etc.)
  • Large furniture (sofas, dressers, etc.)
  • Broken items
