2004 Retirees Honored January 15

On Saturday, January 15, County Council honored the employees with a retirement dinner held at Newberry Hall in Aiken. Each retiree was given a signed, framed certificate and an engraved watch.
The former employees pictured below retired from Aiken County during 2004.They are: (left to right) Judy Wyatt, Detention Center - 14 years; Barbara Knight, Information Technology - 10 years; Bobby Hall, PSA - 25 years; Letha Peterson, ABBE Regional Library - 24 years. Not pictured are George Henderson, Public Works & Engineering - 9 years and Willis Bunch, Public Works & Engineering - 25 years. These six employees total 107 years of service to Aiken County Government.
 
In attendance were the spouses or family members of the retirees, members and spouses of County Council, County Administrator, Assistant County Administrator, Public Information Officer, and retirees' department heads and spouses. The County wishes each of the retirees longevity and a healthy and happy " New Beginning".
