| Aiken County Administrator Clay Killian was presented with the Palmetto Public Management Award for 2004 at the recent South Carolina City and County Management Association (SCCCMA) annual meeting. |

SCCCMA presents the award each year to recognize one city and one county manager/administrator for outstanding achievement in public management, dedication, and service to local government and a track record of successful initiatives. "These individuals are the role models for future professional managers, and we are privileged to have them serving in South Carolina," commented SCCCMA President Rick Cotton, the Clemson City Administrator.
Mr. Killian, Aiken County's Administrator since 2001, was recognized for his partnership initiatives with neighboring municipalites and counties, his implementation of a new county classification and compensation plan, and other successful county initiatives. |
