Litter can affect the visible beauty of our community and highways. Some of the negative effects of litter are as follows:

  • Tourism drops off.

  • Pride in community diminishes.

  • Health factor diminishes.

  • Encourages criminal activity.

Every resident can help reduce litter by educating themselves and their families on litter prevention, by being involved in anti-litter programs such as Adopt-a-Highway, by reporting litter offenders to County Litter Enforcement Officers, or by calling Litter Busters toll-free at 877-7-LITTER (877/754-8837).
